Legal Advice
What Legal advice can I get?
If you need legal help, you should consult an attorney. No website or individual can give you legal advice, unless they are given a license to. It is recommended you speak to one so you can inform them of your individual situation and can help guide you in the direction you need to go.
If you can afford an attorney, you can find one at your local law office. If you cannot afford an attorney, many of the women shelters and hot-lines should be able to give you resources on how to find a lower costing lawyer, or one that will work on your case for free. If you are in fear of your or our families safety, you can easily download protection orders from your state website.
Do not be afraid to ask for help.
